The inline water feed saves about 70% of the water. Water runs through the pole directly to the brush head, so you wet only the patch you are scrubbing rather than hosing the entire array. It connects straight to a garden hose with the supplied valve and adaptor, so you need no separate pump, tank, or equipment and the ON/OFF valve at the handle lets you cut the flow the moment you stop scrubbing, rather than running water down the roof while you reposition.
